What a busy but incredible weekend!
Friday I picked up cousins Mike and Cayla from the bus stop. Mike was turning 21 and I told him he had to come to the city in order to properly celebrate and Cayla came to help celebrate!
It was also his first time to the city so we did a little sightseeing. First up was the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island via the Staten Island Ferry.
Once rejuvenated and showered we headed to the East Village for dinner at Cardinal. Since we were a group of 5 we decided to order a salad and the President BBQ platter which included all of the day’s smoked meat and 4 sides (in our case mac’n’cheese, mashed potatoes, candied yams, and fried green tomatoes).
and the meat!We made a decent dent into everything but there was definitely a bit of meat left (PS. all dinner photos were with my iphone, hence the darkness).
And in honor of the birthday boy we had the waitress bring out a dessert, she selected the blueberry bread pudding. Everything was delicious, but it by far was my favorite!
Then we headed for a night of dancing. I think it was 21st that Mike won’t forget!!
