Another year and another intense lady has made a name for herself in NYC, this year it was Sandy. While lower Manhattan, Staten Island, and New Jersey suffered extreme damage resulting in flooding, electricity outages below 39th st, and no heat or water in most buildings, here in upper Manhattan things ran relatively smoothly. Most restaurants and grocery stores remained open, some closing early to allow their employees time to travel home with restricted public transport.
Being cooped in gave me plenty of time to cook and bake.
